GUESS WHY DIDNT I BLOG FOR LIKE ONE WEEK ALR??
u may not find it a big deal. like what cherie always says, i dont blog frequently.
hahs. whatever it is, my com was down for the entire week!!
dats why no matter how much i miss msn/friendster/peeping into ppl's bloggies,
i still can't go online~~ urgh.
of cos i wouldnt have the time to go online in sch la.
duh, the first week was dreadful enough.
let me rant just for this one time. pls!

the school's rli smart cos they gave me a rli short schedule on mondays.
trying to cheat me in a sense la.
cos there's a whole load of crap waiting for me on every tuesday.
u wouldnt want to face it, nor believe it. SSM is rli freaking strict.
ask karen if u wish to, mr goh is a real life monster!! gaa.
luckily i wasnt late on the first lesson, nobody actually wants to.
but still... he has to raise his scary voice just on the first day, probably to show off his 'power'.
i don't rli like what he says, at the start.
cos it makes us feel like puppets and as if he's the king.
well well. just felt like i'm under military.
there's no 'ya', 'nope' nor 'oh ya HOR' in his world.
i rli have to start practising replies like, 'yes sir'.
nvm, i'll just take it as it is.
anyway getting used to it isn't that difficult, right?? =D

enough of mr goh and his rules n regulations, it's time to familiarise with the restaurant!!
all we did for the whole day was busy taking down notes.
or perhaps, u can say, scribbling all over the notebook.
and then, the tough part comes in.
firstly, they trained us on cleaning the wine glasses and all.
must be sparkling clean, w.o any fingerprints on it. -.-
this is fine with me seriously, unless they give us a dimly-lit room to do the job.
but no, the lamps over there serve the purpose of hlping their staff spot any stains on glassware etc.
clever right? but it's free labour la. gulps.
better move on to more 'exciting' parts. if not, it'll be a whole chunk of complaining and whining again...
alright... ever held two wetern dinner plates on a single hand?
not what u see in kopitiams, cos now in SSM they expect to be PROFESSIONAL. duh.
dats why they even had a particular way of supporting the two plates.
to ensure that the food on each plate doesn't mix with another. or even worst, spill onto the floor.
like what ms mark said, u can't afford to give discounts whn providing service. FINE.
haha.. rli feel v pessimistic towards this part of the training.
cos my hands are always weak. i admit that my legs work better.
thus, mel and i gave ourselves away, just by looking at our expressions.
rli think yunqian best la.. she could sustain for few mins at least.
guess aft few weeks, my fingers will be stronger than before, definitely.
and pray hard that i pass my proficiency tests! =p

at the end of lesson, we went outdoors and participate in an activity.
everyone had to 'catwalk' in front of the whole lrm.
carrying a tray full of bottles of mineral water and some of them contain bricks as well.
proud to say this, i managed to carry 18 bottles of mineral water 500ml ok.
dont luff la, it's a HUGE achievement to me at least. hahahas!
ok i noe this is crap. ignore it pls./

other stuffs for the week include:
- i got to know my classmates on wed cos we attended the first tut. wee! glad to see some 1k01 classmates. felt secure in some way.

- first proj grp was formed, but the project guide's totally useless! gaa.

- having to attend work aft sch is tiring, but FUN as well. loads of scandals at workplace. can u imagine a 44yr old with a 20plus young bloke? everyone's teasing him anyway. hehe.

- my CDS is hopeless, i sort of empathize with the lecturer hurh. bcos only 9ppl attended her lecture, poor thing. and the culture&expression rli makes no sense to me! no requirements from lecturer regarding assignments, how are we suppose to do well? =(

- i had spent so much time printing ticketing&reservations notes. waste of time + money. the notes are so thick! tsk. just hope that i'll love this elective subj.

- on friday, i finally changed my CDS. thinking that it wouldnt make any difference if i stick to sth dat i don't fancy. cos no matter how idiot-proof is the CDS, i still can't do well if i dont like it. so now, i'm in Understanding Art. hahs. i know i'm not cut out for ART. just give it a try, i guess. =p


that's it. i guess i sort of compressed my whole week's happenings in this single entry.
hope it tells u alot on how stressful is sem2.2.
hahs. of cos, my social circle is still ever-changing.
would definitely love to mingle well with my classmates.
although i always talk less, but tht doesnt mean i dont wish to befriend ppl.
gees. and why am i saying all this? like so stupid can.
ok i'll just cut it.
had to apologise to cherie as well..
cos i didnt call her back, we were chtting on the phone just now.
but then, i just returned from shopping with sister and kf.
so i need some tikme to settle down, sorry girl. =)
aniwae, dont think that ur life has changed drastically.
i believe frens are always there for u.
they may not show concern to u at times, be it that they're busy or what.
however, when there's a time that u need them, of cos they will stand by you.
cheer up, alright? we can meet up often.. after lessons or at s-11.
and dont forget, u got to introduce ur new frens to kitty and me too! =DD


oh god. i got to turn in real soon!
feeling utterly happy cos i managed to get a pair of flats & a top from valerie just now.
bcos i haven't been enjoying much of retail therapy for so long.
so, pardon me for sounding like a desperate or whatever u call it. =pp
