track back abit to last fri.

the first and probably, last time hosting a DnD was on last fri 22nd Aug.

well- i think it was rather successful with almost-perfect coordination.

DJ was rli rli good, not bcos it's the boss doing the job.

but seriously, he gained my respect that night.

and then, MC Ravi was as amiable as ever.

even initiated photoshoots with us, the girls.

*aww... i guess i gona miss him as much as Evon aft we leave OGL.

audience wise, hmm.. larsen oil & gas rli has staff from all over the world.

i see caucasians, locals and indians. hhas!

they're all so high and spontaneous when it comes to the games sessions.

just that i pitied one indian guy who half-puked while contesting in the beer-drinking competition.

(sucking hard at the milk bottle is such a difficult task! esp whn it comes to BEER)

to compete for the MR/MRS ALOHA, most of them showcased their hidden talents in dancing as well.

AND AND AND. i was DELIGHTED cos i got to try out DJ during 'ACADEMY AWARD - ROMEO & JULIET'

thanks kenneth! i didnt know it was such an enjoyable job just by mixing music.

at least it was better than my prev experience being a DJ during the Houston Event hurh. =))

the night ended with us 'clearing the leftovers'. and filling up our empty stomachs!

hahahs. the food at shangri-la sentosa wasnt that splendid.

abit too heavy for a short DnD night. it seems more like a commercial buffet to me.

ha. lastly, we head for home in the company vehicle! w 'pandan AROMA' once again...


sat was almost a SLACK day for me. thinking back, i can't rli rmb any signif. event that happened.

only thing was, darling came over in the evening.

as the next day is our race day, he decided to camp over at my place. hahas.

of cos, i was quite looking frwd to the sg bay run on sunday 24th.

it is supposingly my first 10km run and also my first time participating in such a mega race event. rli excited!

so when dinner ends with my plain porridge, we got glued to the TV tuning in to olympics.

soon, i packed up and we turned in at ard 12am. which is v late alr! oh no.

alarm was set to wake us up at 430am.

the next morning was a hilarious day, and quite surprising in fact cos we met someone we both knew, like back in 5 yrs' time.

the incident was, we left house to wait for a cab.

okayy laugh all you want, cos flag-off time is at 0730. but we were out at 545 trying to get a cab.

thing is we were first-timers and have no idea what is the best time to reach.

OK? so pls do understand and if u're laughing still, let me tell u it's not funny cos we waited for a cab and no cabs were available. and we were both deprived of SLEEP. arghh!

and there... a miracle happened and a cab just stopped ahead of us.

it was a female who shouted and gestured us to the cab when the door flung open.

we do not have the idea who she is. but just got on the cab.

cos one thing we were sure of, they're going for the bay run too. =)

the whole cab journey was filled with questions and then silence for quite some time.

oh and i forgot to mention there's another guy seated in the front seat.

which i am quite sure he doesnt know the lady at the back seat as well.

haha! weird right... i guess ppl just offer a hitch ride since all are going to the same destination.

and when it's time to alight aft paying the cab fare, here goes the intriguing part..

the guy seated in front got down and darling and i had the same thing on mind.

we asked him this qtn, "have we met before? you looked v familiar."

seriously, i'm very sure that we must have met this guy before.

and think think think... we couldnt rli make out who he is.

but anyway, he was in a hurry so he left first. ahhas.

DEN. shortly aft he left, darling and i was figuring out who he was.

first conclusion: MUST BE A TEACHER! ahha.

den. is it PE teacher / maths?

but he don't look like either one.

suddenly! i rmb we had this super nerdy sci relief teacher for chem during sec1/2.

ahha! YES! it's him. the always-nervous relief teacher who speaks quite fast in class too.

and he loves to write down compassionate quotes on the board, thinking that we might reflect upon life aft reading them. haha!

it's such a coincidence to see him, aft i had him as a relief teacher 5 yrs back.

hmmms. it's a small world after all~ =DD

speaking of the race results, i'm contented cos i nv once stop.

i completed the race throughout the entire 10km! yeah.

and darling and i ONLY took ard 1hr 15mins. i duno if it's considered fast to you, but to me, yes! it's super self-achieving.

cos i've always failed myself during personal training.

either flopping sideways to hold on to darling's arm and stop my pace,

or i will breathe using my mouth which takes away more energy faster.

but on that day, i was v obedient and did whatever darling told me to!

i'm so happy.. =)) after the race, we even queued up for the tiger balm muscle rub.

wee! so comfy. though it was painful at some parts, i know i wont have cramps during the nxt few hrs.

(however now my knee is still aching ar.. sad! first-time run so far la. humph.)

darling asked if i wana try the 21km. so sorry... i think one-time challenge is enuff. hahas!. i don't wana feel myself dying twice. =p


alright. tmr i shall cont blogging abt monday- which i had a day's off.

i actually watched a movie very worth watching. shall share with u guys tmr! =)

nights. tmr is not dat looking forward to. i hope it'll stay like this..

i just wan more time for myself.. can? =)
